As I am sure some of you will be aware, a few weeks ago on Friday 8th July we exhibited Tobia Teff at the Allergy Show at Kensington Olympia.
The atmosphere of the event was incredible – it was a joy to see such a diverse collection of people in one place with such similar interests
It made a good change of scene for us here at Tobia. Not only was it fantastic to showcase our products and our story – browsing around the rest of the show in the few spare moments we got was equally interesting. The diversity of brands was as rich as the diversity of the audience!
Not only this, but we came away with the clear feeling that the event had been a real step forward for us. Over on our stand, we were overwhelmed by the hordes of visitors queueing up to show their interest. We were rushed off our feet – but most definitely not complaining! I was particularly overjoyed by the reception our product samples received – in particular the bread samples and the Gluten-Free cakes we made with Teff flour. We came away from the stand exhausted, but with a real feeling of achievement, having run out of samples!
On top of this, I was lucky enough to be asked to speak at the popular yet exclusive trade conference taking place at the show and take part in a question panel afterwards. This was a marvellous opportunity to share our Tobia story with yet more friendly and interested faces. Admittedly I was a little nervous beforehand, but I did not need to be – I was thrilled by the reception I got. The question panel which followed raised many engaging questions, highlighting the potential our brand has within the Free-From market.
The event therefore was a double-success for us, emphasizing and expanding the commercial and consumer interest in Teff. It was a good precursor to an upcoming documentary on our brand, which was shown on Channel 4. The link is on our webpage and you can see for yourself more about our brand, our products, and our history.
If you can make it to the Allergy Show next year, you’ll enjoy it and I look forward to meeting you in person!
